Dear Rock n Rollers,
'Hesitation Blues' from Hot Tuna inspired this set. During a hiatus of Jefferson Airplane, Hot tuna was formed by bassist Jack Casady and guitarist Jorma Kaukonen. I picked three Hot Tuna acoustic tracks plus some other contemporary Bay Area bands, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Credence, John Lee Hooker and It's a Beautiful Day....Enjoy!

TT 13.04.13: Angie
Dear Rock n Rollers,
I guess it is my Rolling Stones redux, but I listened to Angie the other day...wow, what a great song! This inspired a set including ELP, Bad Company, Humble Pie and Wet Willie. Enjoy!

TT 19 April 2013: Girl Power
Dear Rock n Rollers,
I stumbled across a web site with the "25 best female rock songs". I modified the list, adding the go-go's and aretha franklin and bonnie raitt. I love the track from the Mo-Dettes and The Raincoats...remember them???? Enjoy!

TT 05 April 2013: Tattoo You
Dear Rock n Rollers,
I have always had a weak spot in my heart for "Tatoo You", the Stones' 1981 LP. I was skeptical at first, as this was the follow up to Emotional Rescue, but over time, I definitely think this is one of the RS's better post "Exile" pieces of work. In fact, most of the tracks came from the early to mid 70's and were only 're-discoved' when Jagger/Richards needed a new LP to back their 81/82 Tour. I particularly like the ballads on side two, though Start Me Up still makes me get up and dance. Black Limousine is also a great track. Enjoy these selections from TY and other friends who produced music at the same time.
