Dear Rock n Rollers,
I just bought (yet another) live recording from the Grateful Dead, this one from a Chicago gig in 1976. You Dead Heads all know that Live Dead is the only way to go. Enjoy this set of GD plus some friends: Little Feat, Stills, Young, Glimmer Twins, Byrds. The tracks are pretty long so kick back and.....
Enjoy!

TT 18 January 2013: New Bowie Song and Berlin Trilogy
Dear Rock n Rollers,
Listening to the new Bowie Song "Where Are We Now" reminded me of the Berlin Trilogy: Low, Heros, Lodger. I learned that Iggy Pop lived with Bowie in Berlin during that period (1976-79) which led me to include some excellent IP tunes, including one of my favorites: The Passenger. Television, Roxy Music and Talking Heads rounds out the set of this superb late 70's collection. Enjoy!

TT 11 January 2013: Nobody's Fault But Mine
Dear Rock n Rollers,
Back to Led Zep. Listening to Celebration Day and was struck by "Nobody's Fault But Mine" which appeard on LZ's Presence LP. They often played this number live, including their 2007 gig at the O2 arena in London. Check out this live version and compare it to the 1927 original from Blind Willie Johnson. I included singles from the Stones and Beatles, along with Credence, Bowie, Beck and Queen.
Enjoy!

TT 4 January 2013: Neil 1967-75
Dear Rock n Rollers,
As I received Neil Young's "Waging Heavy Peace" for Christmas, I thought I would spin some tunes from his early period: from Buffalo Springfield through CSNY to his solo material. Not for the faint-of-hearted, this show demonstrates Neil's songwriting ability, featuring his commentary on political topics (racism, drug use) and emotional, spiritual and psychological quandries. Heavy but good. Enjoy!
